About Me

Hi! My name is Christie and I am a kindergarten teacher but have taught and worked with kids all the from birth through second grade. Teaching young kids is my passion. However, I recently went on maternity leave to take care of my amazing baby girl. As I am on break, I am missing creating fun lessons and activities for young kids, which is what is leading me to this blog. I believe that by making learning fun you can help your kiddos love learning, develop new skills, and become life long learners.

While on maternity leave I have also joined a few Facebook groups for moms and I see a lot of moms wondering two things: 1) How do I teach my young child the skills they will need to be successful in school? and 2) What can I do to keep my kid busy throughout the day? I am hoping through this blog that I can help provide some ideas to help answer both of those questions.

Being a huge book lover, and seeing how valuable reading to young children is, a lot of activities I will post will often be related to a book. I know it’s not always possible to go out and purchase books or to run to the library to get it so I will try to post a link to it being read aloud on Youtube.
